The Agricultural Laboratory participated in the closing ceremony of our school, bidding farewell to the students by giving everyone small pots with flowering plants, which they planted and took care of themselves. The students of the A2 and A3 sections were also given a glass lantern made under the environmental programme “I don’t throw away the rubbish, they make a circle and I save money”

Our school participated in the eTwinning-European Learning Communities project entitled “We are Special, We are Aware of You” with the aim of promoting awareness and acceptance of diversity among students. Through interactive activities and collaborations with schools in Turkey and Lithuania, our students had the opportunity to discover the value of mutual understanding and respect for all people, regardless of their differences. The programme strengthened students’ communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills, working effectively in international teams, while familiarising them with various digital tools and platforms, developing skills that are essential in modern times. The fruit of our joint effort is the creation of our newspaper with articles, photos and interviews, reflecting the experiences and lessons learned of all the students who worked together. This newspaper is a valuable account of our journey and a living testimony to the progress and achievements of our students. The students of sections A2, A3 and A5 and the teachers Gerouki Angeliki – PE08, Haritos Evangelos – PE80 and Triantafyllou Marina – PE80 participated.Click here to see our newspaper.

Every year on 5 June, since 1973, World Environment Day has been celebrated, aiming to raise awareness and encourage citizens to take action for the protection of the environment.
the environment. This day was chosen to close for the current school year in a creative and experiential way, the Environmental Education programs:
“I don’t throw away the rubbish, they go round and I save money” and “I volunteer for the environment and sustainability”. In the context of this action, students of sections A1, A2 and A3 made a poster with small daily changes and tips that we can all do for a sustainable environment. Within the framework of the Cultural Programme “Images and Words”, the participating students worked interdisciplinary, marrying the Visual Arts with Speech and Language Therapy. They each created their own handmade book, with the theme that each stood out. Along the way, they explored the world of animals and the categories of fruit, enriched their descriptive language with the use of adjectives and created small clay works, as well as images using various visual techniques (collage, drawing, painting with markers and tempera, etc.).
The pedagogical objectives achieved were the students:
-To produce handmade books on the theme of animals and fruits.
-Experiment with different materials.
-Experiment with a variety of techniques in the context of the visual arts.
-To improve speech production and comprehension.
-Group animals and fruits according to their particular characteristics.
The programme was coordinated by Iphigenia Avramopoulou (PE08-Cultural Arts) and implemented together with the responsible VET/educators Evangelia Kanellopoulou (PE21-Logotherapy) and Georgia Tzianara (PE02-New Language).

On Thursday 30 May our school visited the recreation park “Hippocamelos” in Sagaiika, Achaia. This park has a zoo and is home to many species of animals and birds. The children and the teachers were fascinated by the animals and the surrounding area. We sat in a specially designed outdoor area and ate our lunch under the shade of the trees. We were then taken on a tour of the zoo where we saw rare chicken, buffalo, hawks , peacocks , parrots , lambs , deer and deer but also camels, llamas, lions, tigers, monkeys and alligators. At the same time, as many children as wanted to ride with the help of trained staff and other children fed the animals with appropriate feed that we obtained from the park itself. It was a beautiful experience for all of us.
