The Rainbow of Diversity – A collaborative digital book about diversity

In the framework of the European eTwinning project “Nobody is Perfec “t, students and teachers from the partner schools from Greece, Poland, Italy, Turkey, North Macedonia and Poland created the collaborative digital book “The Rainbow of Diversity“ The story started in Greece and travelled successively to the other countries, where each group of students continued the narrative creatively, adding new ideas, images and messages. Through this collaborative process, a unique story was created that highlights the value of acceptance, diversity and imperfection. The book is a beautiful example of collaboration, creativity and intercultural communication, promoting values such as respect, empathy and inclusion. At the same time, students developed digital skills and became familiar with modern tools for creating digital content through an experiential and enjoyable learning experience. The project is organized and implemented by the teachers Stamatellatou Aik., Papalexopoulou Nik. and Demoglidou M. with the students of sections A2, A3 and B3.

«Χρώματα Αειφορίας: Οι μαθητές μας ζωγραφίζουν το μέλλον της Γης»

Our school participated with particular enthusiasm in the mural painting competition on the theme “Together for the Earth: stable climate, optimistic future”, thus strengthening our actions for sustainability, environmental awareness and the active participation of students in school life. Our students, with the guidance of their teachers, designed and created their own mural entirely from scratch. The idea was developed collaboratively in the classroom, where children exchanged thoughts, experimented creatively and captured their own messages about environmental protection, climate balance and an optimistic future for all. The work was then transferred to an internal wall of our school, transforming the space into a vibrant place of expression and inspiration. The action is linked to key indicators of sustainability, such as active citizenship, cooperation, fostering environmental awareness, participatory learning, aesthetic upgrading of the school space and the development of creativity and responsibility skills. At the same time, it contributes to our school’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the Sustainable School culture and build a school community that respects the environment and operates with values of sustainability and cooperation. The action was coordinated by teachers Stamatelatou Aikaterini and Fikardou Evanthia with the students of class B3.

Teachers visit from Würzburg, Germany in the framework of Erasmus+

In the framework of the European Erasmus+ programme, our school had the pleasure of hosting two teachers from the Klara-Oppenheimer-Schule in Würzburg, Germany, Steigerwald Manuel and Borst-Alexander, who participated in a Job Shadowing programme.

The two teachers carried out a working observation visit from Monday 11 May to Wednesday 13 May, participating in lessons and activities of our school and exchanging good practices and experiences with teachers and students.

The visit was a particularly creative experience of cooperation and cultural exchange, strengthening the European orientation and the extroversion of our school community.

“Educational action on sustainability and inclusion in the context of eTwinning: nobody is perfect”

On Wednesday 29 April 2026, an educational visit to the Patras Plaza Park took place, in the framework of the European eTwinning project “Nobody is Perfect”, in combination with the Sustainability actions of our school. The action aimed to link the acceptance of diversity with the principles of sustainability and environmental awareness. The students, having been properly prepared in class beforehand, actively participated in experiential activities in the natural environment. In particular, students photographed elements of the environment that are considered “beautiful” and “less perfect”, discovering through this process that all elements of nature have their own value and function. At the same time, they collected natural materials, such as dry leaves and branches, which were used in composting activities, reinforcing their understanding of nature’s cyclical function and reuse. The educational process was supported by appropriately designed worksheets, followed by discussion and feedback in school, where students expressed their experiences and conclusions. The participation of all students was universal and active, fostering both collaboration and personal expression. As a follow-up to the activity, the students decided to create a group poster with photographs they took themselves, capturing the concept of “perfect” and “imperfect” in nature. The poster is accompanied by a slogan that highlights the key message of the action: that everything in nature has a role and value, and that nothing is truly imperfect. This action reinforced the link between environmental education and social values, promoting sustainability not only as an environmental practice, but also as an attitude to life based on respect, inclusion and acceptance of diversity. The action was organised and implemented by the teachers: Stamatellatou Aikaterini, Papalexopoulou Nikolitsa and Demoglidou Maria.
